APPLE’S annual Worldwide Developers Conference kicked off Monday with a two-hour keynote address announcing all the new updates.

While the beta versions of these updates will be made available to developers starting today, they won’t hit the public until the fall.

iOS 15

The newest version of iPhone’s software unveils updated to the Wallet, FaceTime, and Health apps among others.

The updated Wallet app will expand the functionality to allow for corporate badges and keys to get into hotels or houses with smart homes and U.S. IDs.

FaceTime calls will now be supported on Windows and Android products and will have portrait mode to blur backgrounds, and a grid view to speak to several people at the same time.

iPadOS 15

The tech company announced new iPad software called iPadOS 15.

It introduces new ways to rearrange iPad apps, add widgets to the home screen, and allows access users to download the App Library feature which was previously only available on iPhones.

One of the new features that developers are most excited about is the ability to use the same mouse and keyboard across a Mac or an iPad.

The Universal Control will allow an iPad or second Mac computer to be used as a second screen.

Maps

Apple Maps will be stepping up its maps software with new 3D data.

It will be expanding to Spain, Portugal, Italy and Australia later this year.
