“Because He Was a Schmuck” – Paul Heyman Reveals Ryback Had No Chance of Being Successful In WWE

Paul Heyman has worked with various Superstars, and some of the names are extremely big ones of the roster such as Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, Ryback, CM Punk, and others.

During a virtual meet and greet with Highspots Wrestling Network, he was asked who was the one Superstar he worked with and knew the pro-wrestler wouldn’t become an enormous star. According to Paul Heyman, it was Ryback.

Ryback. Would you like to know why Ryback? Because he was a schmuck.

WWE paired together Paul Heyman and Ryback when Ryback was in a feud with CM Punk in 2013. Unfortunately, this pairing did not appeal to either of them.

Ryback gave his opinion on working with Paul Heyman

The pro-wrestler had revealed that while Paul was a significant addition for promos, it wasn’t what Ryback needed at that point.

“I think Paul’s great, as far as maybe promos. I didn’t want to do it at the time, I didn’t care. I’m not friends with Paul. I’m very honest and I like good people. I didn’t want a mouthpiece, I could talk, I didn’t want to be a part of it.”

“I filled a spot for CM Punk but it was never long term. It was keep Paul on TV and his thing with Curtis Axel ran out shorter than he was expecting. There was never an explanation. It was never we’re putting you with Paul and this is the goal. They don’t know any of that there.” H/t Wrestling Inc

It has been a while since Ryback was seen at WWE. Therefore, there have been questions from time to time to understand if he will return to wrestling.

Will Ryback return to wrestling?

Ryback put up polls on Twitter to ask the audience and the wrestling fans if he should return to WWE or join another company or promotion. One of the options in that poll was to not return at all.

Unfortunately for him, the fans chose for him to not return at all for most of the polls. He got frustrated so every time he issued a fresh poll, he would request the audience to take it seriously since this would determine his future.

While some found it funny that Ryback was using polls to determine if he should return to wrestling, others thought he should not put in never returning as an option if he does not want that to be the result at all.
