Fortnite Season 7: How to unlock Rick and Morty skin and Superman

The new season of Fortnite Chapter 2 has begun and the new Rick and Morty skin is already available – but it’s not easy to get.

Season 7 of Fortnite has begun and, as usual, everything leaked out beforehand, including news of the new Rick and Morty skin and the addition of Superman.

Because it’s now official though you get cool new story and Battle Pass trailers, showing exactly what Rick and Superman look like in action.

Both are part of the new Battle Pass, which works in a slightly different way for this season, as instead of things unlocking in order you now get to spend Battle Stars (five of which are earned every time you level up) on whatever you want, rather than having to get them in order.

We’ll go into detail on Rick and Superman in a minute, but the basic idea is that instead of the old tier system you’re unlocking pages of content, from which you can pick whatever you want.

To unlock a skin though you have to have bought every other related item in that set, before it becomes available.

The short explanation for this is that you can’t, not until August 12. That’s when Superman’s cosmetics unlock, which you’ll need to buy in order to unlock the skin itself.

He has 11 different cosmetics, including his Clark Kent disguise and a special cape that only he can wear and which also doubles as a glider.

How to unlock Rick Sanchez in Fortnite Season 7

Rick from Rick and Morty is available now but he’s not easy to unlock, so you’ll have to jump through a lot of hoops before you get the chance to play as him.

Once you buy the Season 7 Battle Pass you’ll find Rick is on page 10, the equivalent of a Level 100 skin from the old system. That means you’ll need to unlock 90 rewards and/or reach Level 90 in order to unlock Page 10, which is going to take most people a long time.

You don’t have to get every item on a page to unlock another one, but it is still going to require a lot of grinding, or a lot of microtransactions, to open up Page 10.

When Page 10 is finally unlocked the Rick Sanchez skin costs nine Battle Stars, although you’ll have to buy all his other items first, including the Hammerhead Morty pickaxe and Butter Robot back bling. Those will cost 45 Battle Stars in total, so that’s not a trivial thing in itself.
