Simon Cowell ‘set to launch new America’s Got Talent residency in Las Vegas’ and we are so there
Simon Cowell has apparently set his sights on launching an America’ Got Talent residency in Las Vegas and everything about this sounds epic.
The 61-year-old has reportedly signed a new deal with Luxor Hotel which would see AGT stars feature in live shows at the venue.
According to The Mirror, the multi-year deal could help the British mogul pocket up to £10million from the deal.
Simon reportedly stated: ‘We open America’s Got Talent in Vegas at the Luxor this year. And Vegas and Got Talent is where they want to end up. We agreed to do it, so it happens this year.’
The deal would allegedly see a twice-weekly show take place with the winner of this year’s season as the headline act.
A source told the website: ‘It is no surprise that Simon is taking the next step. He can use his show to promote these stars. An added bonus is that Simon could introduce British acts from BGT.’
The publication also claims the show could even go on to include acts from international versions of the program if the project proves to be a success.
A formal announcement about the shows is expected to be made in the coming weeks so keep your eyes peeled, folks.
Now there’s even more reason for the talented acts to want to win the show this year.
America’s Got Talent airs on NBC in the US.
