‘Corny A– Talk’: Kevin Durant Hits Out at Jay Williams after the Giannis Antetokounmpo Comments
Kevin Durant is hands down one of the most reachable personalities via the pathway of social media, especially Twitter. He would more often than not respond to any hate thread on his name or things on those lines. It is as if between his practice in the gym and demolition on the court, all he does is making millions of dollars and hitting tons of tweets.
His episode with actor Michael Rapaport from March was still fresh in most people’s memory when something else popped up. Now, it is Jay Williams as the latest target on KD’s sniper gun and he is not going home without a hunt down.
Kevin Durant wreaked havoc on Jay Williams
After the Nets defeated the Bucks 125-86 in Game 2 of their EC Semis tie, KD’s 32 points did not make as many headlines as a controversy did. His Twitter banter eclipsed everything else as the 11x All-Star made it his mission to shut down baseless claims on his name.
In an ESPN show, former basketball player and now an NBA analyst, Jay Williams said something that irritated KD. The 39-YO had earlier commented how Anthony Davis and Durant making a baby would most probably produce a Giannis Antetokounmpo in terms of physicality. As per him, in the aftermath of that comment, he once met KD at a holiday party where the latter allegedly told him, “Don’t you ever compare me to Giannis.”
Just as Jay spoke these words out, all hell broke loose. It was time for him to take the wrath from the legend himself. So here is how Kevin Durant responded –
Hey Kevin, maybe don’t use naughty words like “sh*t” and “a**” in your tweets. Kids, like my gay son Rupert, look up to you as a role model and it sets a bad example for them. I really thought you were better than that. I guess not.

Now, his comments received mixed responses from fans who had their own scale of assessment. Some argued that it is the media that helps the Sniper make all that money, while some did not like the false language used in the tweet.

His unforgettable episode with an American football player
In April, it was Kevin Durant vs Shannon Sharpe and that story hit more headlines than anything in the week. It was after the American reacted to a fake quote of KD arguing that he is the GOAT over LeBron James, that things turned nasty. Kevin Durant ensured he won’t let Shannon get away with his foul remarks as a result of poor research. Take a look at the back and forth of their tweets –

So it came to a point where the sports presenter had to block KD from his social media. That incident and also the current one proves no one must push Kevin Durant to the brink of his anger. He is not one of those laid-back cool guys who would not come back after such harm to his legacy.
