‘I Am Like What the F**k’- Israel Adesanya Details Marvin Vettori Encounter in Lobby

At UFC 263, Israel Adesanya will battle Marvin Vettori in what will be his third middleweight title defense. It’s a rematch between the duo that will take place after almost three years. As the fight is only a few days away, both Adesanya and Vettori had an early face-off when they met each other in the hotel lobby.

‘The Last Stylebender’ gave his take on the situation that occurred. In a conversation with Oscar Willis from TheMacLife, Adesanya said, “I get downstairs and I see the security get tensed. I am like what the f**k. I look to my right and I see Leon Edwards and I am like oh!”

“Nothing and I look again and I see Marvin is on the other side. I was like, oh hey, I waved at him. He looked petrified while he just looked like and then kept on looking back. And then I told Steve I am not gonna do nothing to him, he’s not gonna do sh*t either.”

‘Izzy’ continued, “And then I got my covid test, and I went to check-in. He happened to be there I walk right up to him and I shook his hand, like I did with Costa. People think it’s like this is a game. It’s not a game this is tactics of war.”

Israel Adesanya believes Marvin Vettori would have switched his energy up in a vice vera situation

During this situation, ‘Izzy’ was with his crew, whereas ‘The Italian Dream’ was by himself. Both the fighters kept their cool and handled things pretty well. However, Adesanya believes if the situation would have gone vice versa, Vettori would have acted differently.

Israel Adesanya said, “I went to shook his hand and same thing like I said in Vegas. He was all smiley-smiley. And you know why? Because he didn’t have his crew with him if it was me by myself and he had his mob with him I would have kept the same energy, but he would have switched his energy up cause he knew like security is there his crew is there and he wanna pull some sh*t for the cameras.”

Both fighters are full of confidence and are determined to win the main event. Marvin Vettori wants to fulfill his dream of becoming the first Italian UFC champion; Adesanya wants to continue his legacy by adding another name to his win list.
