UFC 263: Paul Craig vs Jamahal Hill: Prediction and Analysis

Paul Craig will face Jamahal Hill in a clash in the light-heavyweight division this weekend at UFC 263. Craig is coming off a win against former champion, Mauricio Rua. Hill, on the other hand, knocked out Ovince St. Preux in his last contest.

Craig has won 3 out of his last 5 fights in the UFC. He hasn’t been defeated in the organization since his 2019 knockout loss to Alonzo Menifield.

A draw against Shogun and 3 finishes make an impressive case about his recent run. He has shown his decent grappling abilities in his last fight against Rua.

Hill, on the other hand, has a perfect professional record of 8-0. The fight against Craig will be the fourth appearance inside the Octagon for the former Dana White’s Contender Series alumnus. His knockout against St. Preux was a true measure of his talent inside the Octagon.

Hill has a total of 4 finishes in his resume with all of them coming by way of knockout. Craig has managed to finish all 14 of his career wins so far. 2 T/KO and 12 submission wins rack up those stats for him.

Paul Craig vs Jamahal Hill: Analysis

Despite ‘Bearjew‘ winning most of his recent fights, one might argue that his opponents have not been really the elites of the division.

That includes Rua too as the former champion is currently a shadow of his former self. Hill, on the other hand, is an up-and-coming prospect and has got a great stand-up game.

Hill might just prove too much for Craig. The 30-year-old also has great reach and length to work with. His shots are straight and carry malice on them.

He might just be able to stack up ‘Bearjew’ against the fence and land one of his signature blows. Craig might ultimately be able to earn a first-round knockout win over ‘Bearjew’.

Final Prediction: Hill by first-round knockout.
