Floyd Mayweather Makes a Shocking Admission About Logan Paul – ‘It’s Hard to Hit Him With the Jab’

The aftermath of the Logan Paul vs. Floyd Mayweather exhibition bout has left fans and experts divided. Many have called the event a farce, while some have credited Paul for going the distance. And now, ‘Money Mayweather’ has made a surprising admission which will shock many.

Mayweather went into the bout as the clear favorite with expert opinion suggesting his fight IQ would be too much for Paul. However, in the fight, Paul used his physical advantages well. And although he got outclassed, he avoided any real damage.

The 50-0 boxer has now explained why. Paul posted a snippet of their fight on his Instagram account. The video showed what both corners told their fighters after the first round. While Paul’s corner praised him for a good round, Mayweather’s trainer asked him to throw more jabs to the head.

However, much to the surprise of many, Mayweather replied, “It’s hard to hit him with the jab.” Thus, this comment showed that Paul was not as easy an opponent as reports suggested. Furthermore, Mayweather’s jab is one of his best weapons. And this explains why he struggled to stamp his authority on the fight.

Why did Floyd Mayweather struggle to land the jab at Logan Paul?

Mayweather’s comments will raise eyebrows because, before the fight, he was very confident that his fight IQ would negate any advantages Logan Paul had. Therefore, for him to say this mid-fight is surprising. However, this is not the first time we saw him credit Paul.

In the post-fight interview, the former multi-weight champion claimed ‘The Maverick’ was tougher than he thought. And upon closer inspection of the bout, Paul used his superior size to good advantage.

The YouTuber clinched every time Mayweather came in range, and when he was not clinching, he used his 4-inch reach advantage to keep ‘TBE’ at bay. Thus, when you look at the bout again, Mayweather’s comments make sense. Despite this, ‘Money Mayweather’ made the necessary adjustments and outclassed Paul.
