World No.5 Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Alexander Zverev in the semi-finals of the French Open 2021. Even though the German tried hard, Tsitsipas managed to win the five-set marathon. The final scoreline of the match was 6-3, 6-3, 4-6, 4-6, 6-3,
During the match, something peculiar took place. In a video, one can see Alexander Zverev’s elder brother Mischa Zverev giving tips to Sascha during the match. This is something that is not legal in the sport and fans are also not liking his actions.

While talking to a channel, Mischa Zverev even admitted that he was coaching Zverev during the middle of the match. The incident took place during the second set when Zverev was losing 3-5. This is surely not in the spirit of the sport and as a result, the German and his brother are receiving criticism on social media. Renowned sports journalist, Ben Rothenberg, even described it as an ‘illegal mid-match coaching.’

Even though no action has been taken against Mischa Zverev so far, fans are expecting the German to bear the consequences. Will the French Open management punish the elder Zverev for his actions?
Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Alexander Zverev to create history at French Open 2021
It is Tsitsipas who will be playing his first-ever Grand Slam final at the French Open 2021 on Sunday. The Greek player worked really hard last year as well but, unfortunately, Novak Djokovic defeated him in the semis.
With his victory over Zverev, Tsitsipas became the youngest player to enter into the finals of Roland Garros since Rafael Nadal. Although the match went to the fifth set, Tsitsipas kept his calm and played some really great shots under pressure. He’ll now face Rafa or Djoker in the finals of the Grand Slam.
Stefanos Tsitsipas has really impressed the fans with his clinical performances at the French Open so far. As a result, they have really high expectations from him and want him to finish on the winning side this time. Will he be able to lift his maiden Grand Slam title in Paris this year?
