‘Spida Going Crazy Tonight’: Bogdan Bogdanovic, Dwyane Wade & Others React To Utah Jazz Winning Game 2 Against Clippers

The Los Angeles Lakers and Utah Jazz put on quite a show in the first game of the series. Both teams were going back and forth for most of the latter part of the game. But it was the Jazz who got the last word in and finished the night with a 112-109 victory. And not much changed when they locked horns in Game 2, and Utah now has a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference Semifinals. This means the LA Clippers might be doomed.

Utah Jazz does it again

To nobody’s surprise, the Utah Jazz star player Donovan Mitchell had another stellar night in Game 2 which led to their sixth straight win of the playoffs. Mitchell had a 45-point performance in their first bout and the Clippers’ top scorer was Kawhi Leonard who finished with 23 points.

Much like the first game, Leonard failed to get the support that he needed from the others, including Paul George. The Jazz had taken a double-digit lead in the third quarter which seemed like a difficult task for the Clippers to catch up with.

Mitchell, as usual, added 37 points and his brilliant pick-and-roll offense did the trick again. Rudy Gobert was a monster with his whopping 20 rebounds. Naturally, the Clippers looked exhausted in this game as well. They entered this matchup after a long 7 game series against the Dallas Mavericks. But it’s possible the Jazz might put them out of their misery quicker. Here’s how the NBA Twitter responded to Game 2.

Can the LA Clippers rally back?

Despite the Clippers gaining more momentum in the third quarter, it was too late. They had even closed down the deficit in the fourth quarter and were down by just one basket at one point, but no luck. Donovan Mitchell has been on fire this season. And when his offensive prowess is paired up with the Defensive Player of the Year, Rudy Gobert, they’re near unstoppable.

The Jazz has had the best record this season for a reason and there is no way they’ll give up their 2-0 lead. It might take a miracle for the Clippers to pull off an upset.

The way the Clippers adjusted and went small against the Mavericks, Ty Lue needs to figure out how to break the Jazz. However, this will be a much tougher job than doing it against Dallas.
