Charles Leclerc & Richard Mille: Everything You Need to Know About their Partnership

Charles Leclerc and Richard Mille have a long-standing partnership that spans over a decade. The iconic watch brand has supported the Monegasque driver since his early days.

Now they have taken their association with each other to a new level. Richard Mille has launched a new watch, custom-made for Charles Leclerc called ‘RM 67-02 Automatic Charles Leclerc’.

The premise of Richard Mille’s brand is built on the fact that their watches are “racing machines on wrists”. So their association with Leclerc is quite natural. Charles Leclerc, who is a protege of Jean Todt, was first spotted by Richard Mille in his early karting years.

Richard Mille has continued to support Leclerc for a decade now. On their association as mentioned on richardmille.com,

“Since his early days in karting, I have closely followed Charles’ progress. Noted for his times, and his speedy qualifiers, the driver attracted my attention and enthusiasm, immediately convincing the brand to support his budding talent,” said Richard Mille.

Nicolas Todt, son of Jean Todt and Charles’ manager, also spoke highly of the Ferrari driver,

I am blown away by these performances. Charles demonstrates both tremendous daring and great skill. He has all the qualities necessary to be one of the great drivers of his generation.”

Even in his karting days, Richard Mille encouraged his talent, and years later, created a prototype with Leclerc. The watch is thin, lightweight, elegant, and a technical marvel.

The watch is quite specific as Richard Mille managed to enclose in a case made of TPTcomposite material and titanium Grade 5 his lightest automatic watch ever, just 32 grams, equipping it with the lightest elastic strap ever made.

In conclusion, the iconic watch reiterated, “On Charles‘ wrist, (the watch) allows the brand to test new technical solutions for its future models,” said, Richard Mille.

The Monegasque can showcase the prowess of the brand when he waves his hands from the podium. Another interesting detail on the watch is the Monaco flag.

The flag is visible thanks to the white case and strap with red. They also painted the bridge of the watch in the same colors. RM 67-02 Charles Leclerc is the only piece and costs around €118.500.
