Joe Rogan Unsure About Tyron Woodley Winning Against Jake Paul

Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley will feature in a boxing debut against YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul. Various pundits and fans alike have expressed their opinion on the fight. A certain Joe Rogan also has expressed his opinion on the same lately.

Woodley is a decorated collegiate wrestler besides representing UFC and will be the toughest opponent for Paul to date. The latter has fought only 3 fights including a one against former MMA champion Ben Askren.

Although Woodley has much better combat experience than Paul, Rogan believes it won’t be a straightforward match for him.

“Woodley punches really f*cking hard and when he doesn’t have to worry about wrestling,” Rogan said. “Doesn’t have to worry about getting as tired, and can pick his shots, he’ll be the most dangerous guy Jake Paul has ever fought, for sure.”

“But, it doesn’t necessarily mean that he wins. I think Jake Paul can f*cking box,” he added.

Rogan then talked about Nate Robinson, NBA star who was Jake’s previous opponent. Jake had beaten him during their showdown.

“If you look at that Nate Robinson fight — I know Nate Robinson didn’t know what he was doing — but the way he landed those punches, he cracked him and knocked him out moving backward,” Rogan added.

“He can move backward and then plant. He doesn’t have big wind-up movements. His brother has more wind-up shots. His brother was throwing more windmill-y type arm-punches. Jake throws things straight and hard. They’re much more dangerous,” he concluded.

Joe Rogan rates Tyron Woodley in top 3 UFC welterweights of all time

Rogan knows more than a thing or two about Woodley (19-7). After all, he has watched him dominate some of the best fighters from close quarters.

Despite being off-color prior to his departure from UFC, Rogan believes Woodley is still a dangerous man and by far the biggest challenge for Jake.

“We won’t know until they get in there but the thing about it is he’ll be the most dangerous guy Jake Paul has ever fought, for sure. Not even close,” Rogan said.

“No one more dangerous than Tyron Woodley. Tyron’s not just an MMA fighter, he’s a UFC world champion and one of the best welterweights of all time. If you looked at all the UFC welterweights of all time, he’s top-three. He’s f***ing phenomenal,” he added.

Well, it will be a big test for Woodley too. Although he has been an elite in MMA, boxing is still a different game altogether. The match is certainly going to be enthralling.
