Tyson Fury Hopes for a Tougher Challenge from Deontay Wilder but Says ‘He Won’t Last Seven Rounds This Time’
It is no surprise that Tyson Fury is confident about beating Deontay Wilder again in their third collision. Meanwhile, he has claimed that he will do it even quicker than their last meeting. As both men have been inactive since the rematch in February 2020, they have received a similar lay-off from the in-ring action.
However, Tyson Fury was preparing for a bout against Joshua, while Deontay Wilder was justifying his defeat for months. Hence, ‘The Gypsy King’ has appeared optimistic about making it 2-0 against ‘The Bronze Bomber’ on July 24.
Speaking with Daily Mail, Fury said, “I hope he brings a lot more to the ring than last time. That was a one-sided beat-down but I love real challenges. I didn’t think he would take the trilogy fight but he’s proved me wrong.”
“Either he’s a glutton for punishment or he’s just coming for the money. Because he knows he can’t win. At least it will be over quicker for him. He won’t last seven rounds this time.”

Besides crowning the WBC titleholder, Fury vs Wilder 3 would also craft the road for an undisputed heavyweight championship bout. If Wilder lands an upset over Fury, it would hamper an All-English clash between ‘The Gypsy King’ and ‘AJ’. So there would be a lot on the line when the heavyweight gladiators would lock horns for one last time.

He has replaced Mark Breland with Malik Scott as his head coach and looks confident about reclaiming his lost dominance. ‘The Bronze Bomber’, who has constantly posted clips of the recent sparring sessions, seems stoked for the upcoming fight.
The American boxer is one of the scariest punchers in the division and has dominated the boxing world throughout his career. Although Tyson Fury poleaxed him in their last meeting, the trilogy battle can play out differently. So, we cannot write off ‘The Bronze Bomber’ from the mix.
