Tyson Fury Not Confident About Anthony Joshua’s Chances Against ‘Physically Tougher’ Oleksandr Usyk

This year, the most awaited encounter between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua was supposed to take place. In fact, the fight was even on the cards for August 14, but Deontay Wilder poured cold water on this matchup, aligning himself for a trilogy with ‘The Gypsy King’.

With that, Joshua was left without an opponent. However, the WBO mandatory Oleksandr Usyk quickly slotted in. That said, in a few months from now, the duo will take the ring space against each other, thus looking to claim that vital ‘W’.

Tyson Fury isn’t quite confident about ‘AJ’ beating Usyk in a 12-round tussle. Speaking to Sportsmail, he said, “I don’t think they fancy the Ukrainian guy (undefeated Oleksandr Usyk) for the fight he needs in August.”

Usyk is a southpaw, clever, technically very good. He’s smaller as a former cruiserweight champion but he handled Derek Chisora, who is physically tougher than Joshua. So while I’m absolutely confident of beating Wilder, I’m not so sure about AJ not losing his fight.” (h/t Daily Mail)
