WATCH: LeBron James and Drake Appear During Bronny James’ Comeback Match

The Los Angeles Lakers did not have a productive season, as they lost to the Phoenix Suns in the playoffs. Notably, this was the first time LeBron James lost in the first round of a playoffs series. James was not his usual best, as he had problems with his ankle throughout the series. James has struggled with ankle injuries, however, he will be back next year to contend for the title.

Meanwhile, James attended his son Bronny James’ return to basketball with Drake, surprising fans in attendance. A knee injury sidelined Bronny since February, and he made a return to the team.

LeBron James and Drake surprise the fans

The match between Sierra Canyon and Corona Centennial was important as it was the Southern Sectional Finals. But, the return of Bronny ended in despair as Centennial lost. Drake and LeBron attending the match was a welcome sight for fans though.

In what was a fantastic game, Kylan Boswell was the star man for the Centennials, as he scored 24 points and lead the team to a resounding victory. Bronny scored seven points in his return to fitness. James and Drake were enjoying the evening as they hyped the crowd up. Junior guard Amari Bailey had two dunks in the game as James and Drake got up from their seats to show their appreciation.

James will come back strong next season

In the meantime, LeBron James will look to get fit for the upcoming NBA. Besides that, Anthony Davis suffered from a groin injury, which led to the Lakers’ dismal performance. But, the Lakers need to rebuild to become a competitive team. James is not getting any younger, and the organization should look to build their side around Anthony Davis.

Some veteran-contract deals would help the Lakers to propel their way of building a competitive squad.

There are talks of Damian Lillard joining the Lakers, and the probability of D-Rose joining Davis and co. The trio of Lillard, James, and Davis arguably have the potential to be the best in the league.

Although LeBron James is getting older, the Lakers organization is in safe hands with Davis. Getting his fitness levels up to scratch should be his priority while the front office should bring in talented players. James will be more determined than ever to land his fifth NBA title.
