WWE star Otis looks unrecognisable as he goes cleanshaven and ditches huge beard for new image on SmackDown

WWE superstar Otis has largely stuck to the same look since debuting in NXT back in 2016 – but now he’s shaved off his big bushy beard.

The former Heavy Machinery man – who has shown a new attitude in recent months with Chad Gable by his side – made his presence felt on SmackDown as he showed off a cleanshaven style.

His Alpha Academy tag team partner took on Street Profits superstar Montez Ford in an absolutely fantastic match with their respective teammates barred from ringside.

However, Otis put a stop to that when he attacked Ford – having done the same to Angelo Dawkins last week – and utterly decimated him.

The top rope splash was the exclamation point on the whole thing, with Gable clearly delighted with the influence he’s had on Otis.

A former fan favourite, the latter has been moving to the dark side over the past few months, and even something as simple as shaving his beard takes him a step away from his previous storylines.

The new attitude is something fans have enjoyed seeing, and Dolph Ziggler – who had a bitter rivalry with Otis leading a clash into last year’s WrestleMania – has wanted it for a while.

Speaking last summer, he exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘A huge part that we don’t touch on – and I mean this in all seriousness, I don’t watch the show so I don’t know what we’re saying.

‘But a huge part we don’t touch on is that Otis is such a bad ass amateur wrestler.

‘If you follow him on social media, he throws out the craziest weights, he’s working out with Gable, those guys are psychos. Wrestlers are psychos, which I appreciate!’

Ziggler – who has a fantastic amateur background is his own right – had been impressed with the work he’d seen Otis do with former Olympian Gable before they took that partnership on screen..

Although there had been a comedic side to the ex-Mr. Money In The Bank in the past, there was clearly more than meets the eye.

‘He’s a fun loving guy that you can like, but in the gym he’s a beast and he can toss outta your boots any chance he gets,’ Dolph added.
