Billie Faiers and her family will be getting their own spin-off of Mummy Diaries as her sister, Samantha, announced her departure from the show.

The 31-year-old, came to fame on The Only Way Is Essex and now the superstar mum-of-two will appear in Billie & Greg: The Family Diaries.

ITVBe has commissioned the spin-off, in which Billie and husband Greg Shepherd, who are parents to Nelly and Arthur, will give us further insight into their family.

Produced by Potato, part of ITV Studios, audiences can follow in the entertaining exploits of Essex’s favourite family as Billie and Greg embrace the challenges of parenting and adapt to life in their dream home.

After an eventful 12 months that saw Billie participate in Dancing on Ice and the family preparing for their big move, the show will capture the many milestone moments that lie ahead for the couple and their exuberant offspring.

In a joint statement, the couple said that sharing their lives on TV has been a ‘whirlwind’ as they teased what to expect from their new show.

‘We are so grateful for everyone’s amazing support over the years, it’s been a whirlwind of a journey so far but we’ve loved every minute of sharing our lives with you!’ they said.

‘As you all know by now, no two days are ever the same in the Shepherd household and now that we’re finally on our way to our dream home, we can’t wait to bring you all along for the highs, the lows and everything in between!’

The commissioning editor for ITV, Amanda Stavri, also shared their excitement for the new chapter.

‘We’re delighted to be starting a brand-new chapter on ITVBe and ITV Hub with Billie, Greg, Nelly and Arthur. The Family Diaries will continue to provide all of the humour, candour and family fun that have made The Mummy Diaries such unmissable TV,’ she said.

‘We’d like to thank Sam and her family for helping to make The Mummy Diaries one of ITVBe’s signature series. They’ve shared some of the most poignant and personal moments in their lives over nine series, and we hope to work with them again in the future.’

This comes after Samantha Faiers announced that she has quit ITV reality series The Mummy Diaries after seven years, emphasising that it ‘wasn’t an easy decision’.

Sam, 30, first found fame as a member of The Only Way Is Essex cast, starring on the show from 2010 until 2014.

Two years after her departure, she launched The Mummy Diaries, having previously filmed a one-off programme called The Baby Diaries.

In a new post shared on social media, Sam – who has two children with her partner Paul Knightley – said that it’s time to say goodbye to The Mummy Diaries, having welcomed cameras into her family’s life for several big milestones.

The Mummy Diaries is available to watch on the ITV Hub.
