Kyrie Irving Injured Against Bucks: This is How LeBron James & NBA Twitter Reacted

The Brooklyn Nets are facing off against the Milwaukee Bucks in game 4 of their second round series. With Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Co. having a 2-1 lead in the series, the Nets are looking to take a 3-1 lead in the series.

At the end of the third quarter, the Nets are trailing the Bucks by the scoreline 81-69, with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving leading the Nets with 28 and 11 points, respectively. Meanwhile, for the Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo leads the game with 16 points, while PJ Tucker has added 11 points.

Brooklyn Nets superstar Kyrie Irving out for the rest of the game

While the Nets have had a decent game so far, Brooklyn might be in huge trouble for the rest of the game. With 6:11 remaining in the second quarter, Irving was open below the paint and tried to make a layup.

While the 27-year-old jumped and tried to make the easy basket. The 7-time All-Star did make the easy 2-pointer but on his way down, ‘Uncle Drew‘ had an awkward landing as he landed on Giannis’ foot. This led to an apparent ankle injury for Irving.

This right ankle sprain certainly comes at the worst time for the Nets. Given that Harden is already out for the Nets, Irving’s injury adds to an ever-increasing injury list for the Nets. NBA insider Shams Charania has confirmed that the 27-year-old is indeed out for the rest of the game.

With Kyrie out, the Nets might be going down in this game. If players like Joe Harris and Bruce Brown step up and start connecting shots, the Brooklyn Nets might have a chance at the game but it looks highly unlikely.
