“He Will Carry the Company” – Roman Reigns Is the “Top Priority” for Vince McMahon in WWE

WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is the top star of WWE. With his dominant clasp on the title and the SmackDown brand, he is elevating both of them.

Currently, Reigns is facing two issues on his ‘island of relevancy.’ First, there is a tussle going on between him, Jimmy, and Jey Uso. On the other hand, Reigns facing Rey Mysterio at Hell in a Cell next week.

Thanks to his heel turn, Reigns is well accepted (and respected) among the fans. As he is the top face right now, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon considers him as the “top priority.”

WWE is elevating “The Tribal Chief” with the undefeatable streak to solidify his stance as the marquee player in WWE, similar to John Cena, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, and more. In the long term, Reigns is getting ready to face The Rock in the future.

A WWE source told WrestlingNews.co: “Vince doesn’t want to portray Roman as a cowardly heel who gets his ass kicked 50 percent of the time. He’s the guy who will carry the company for the next few years and Vince sees him as his top priority. Protect Roman at all costs.”

Roman Reigns is like Kenny Omega to some extent

Industry insider Dave Meltzer weighed in on the situation even more. Apparently, Roman Reigns and AEW World Champion Kenny Omega have similar tendencies in their bookings.

“Roman Reigns and Kenny Omega are essentially the same characters in the sense that they are heels who are being groomed to be the top Babyface star down the line of the promotion,” Meltzer said.

Roman Reigns haven’t lost in a match since he returned as a heel at SummerSlam last year. Even at the upcoming HIAC match, Reigns is not expected to lose until some external factors.
