‘I Sincerely Hope’ Not to End Up Like Alonso or Raikkonen: Hamilton

It is a fact that Lewis Hamilton is getting old. However, the 36-year-old driver doesn’t plan to stay as long as his “colleagues”, Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen, two drivers in their 40s.

The seven-time world champion wants to explore different areas of life. It should be noted that Hamilton has his hands in music, fashion, environmental activism, and even his own motorsport team in Extreme E, X44.

In an exclusive interview, with Corriere Della Serra Lewis said, “I sincerely hope not to rush at 40. There are so many things I want to do that it would be difficult. Hamilton and Max have pushed each other to limit so far, but it’s the Dutchman who has come out on top. The Red Bull prodigy leads the championship. However, he states that his rivalry with Verstappen doesn’t challenge but finding ways to improve himself does.

He said, “I don’t think it’s for Max or anyone else. The reason is that every day I discover new things about myself. With the pandemic lockdowns, I have had more time to refine my talent, body and mind.”
