Ant Anstead reveals his feelings as ex Christina Haack sells their family home: ‘That house has memories’
Ant Anstead has revealed his thoughts on Christina Haack’s decision to sell this former marital home.
The British TV host split from the 37-year-old HGTV star in September, after less than two years of marriage.
Following Haack’s decision to place their former Newport Beach home on the market, the 41-year-old told People: ‘I’m really happy for her. I think it’s the right decision. That home has memories.’
Haack listed the 4,804-square-foot Californian home on the market for $6million in April and her ex believes the many personalizations he made to the house influence her decision.
The Celebrity IOU: Joyride star explained: ‘Anyone can go and buy something, but to have it made is different. So I imagine, for Christina’s world, she needed to have that fresh start. Because she would’ve been living in a surrounding of reminders.’
Anstead and Haack purchased the five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom home for their blended family back in 2018 – and held their ‘winter wonderland’ backyard wedding in December that year.
Haack shares ten-year-old daughter Taylor, and five-year-old son Brayden, with ex Tarek El Moussa as well as one-year-old son Hudson, 1, with Anstead.
Meanwhile, Anstead also shares daughter Amelie, 17, and son Archie, 14, with his first wife.
The automotive expert, who purchased a home of his own in Laguna Beach in May, separated from Haack in September 2020, just a year after they welcomed their son.
Haack officially filed for divorce and for joint custody of Hudson in November 2020.
The Christina on the Coast star recently revealed she was taking a break from dating after her recent splits.
