WATCH: 255 Lbs Jon Jones Shows Off Incredible Speed During Training for His Heavyweight Debut

Former UFC light-heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, is still not scheduled for a fight. It’s been a while since ‘Bones’ has vacated his belt in a bid to prepare better for his move up to the heavyweight division of the UFC. Jones last fought at UFC 247, earning a controversial decision win over Dominick Reyes.

The former champion was expected to face the winner of the title fight at UFC 260 between Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou. But due to disagreements regarding payment between him and the UFC, that fight never materialized. But Jones has been training to make his frame right for his heavyweight debut.

I’ll be 34 next month! Starting to feel like a fine wine, only getting better with age @stanefferding @mr_nfp,” captioned Jones in a recently posted video on his Instagram. He displayed some incredible sprint speed on the treadmill and mentioned that his weight was at 255 lbs currently.

Jones has kept his fans updated about how his physique transformation has been going on at the heavyweight division of the UFC. He even received some criticism from the MMA community for looking sloppy in his recent training videos. But needless to say, his recent clip will silence the haters for the time being at least.

Fans want to see Jones back in action as well. It’s been a while since the consensus G.O.A.T has competed inside the UFC Octagon. So, naturally, it’s disappointing for UFC faithful to see him not in action in his prime years as an athlete despite being eligible to compete.

Will Jon Jones vs Francis Ngannou ever happen?

It looked certain at one point in time that Jones and Ngannou would share the Octagon. ‘The Predator‘ becoming the UFC heavyweight champion made those possibilities bigger.

But under current circumstances, the chances of that fight happening immediately next, are slim to none. ‘Bones‘ has lost the pole position to challenge for the belt next. But given the magnitude of the contest, that fight has to happen in coming times.
