Goldust is Done! WWE Legend Dustin Rhodes Makes a Disheartening Revelation for the Fans

AEW star Dustin Rhodes is one of those superstars who are quite active on the social media platform. He has had many interactive sessions with fans on Twitter and has often been in the news for his unconventional replies.

Dustin Rhodes recently revealed that Goldust character had seen its denouement, confirming that he won’t play the character again.

Dustin Rhodes on bringing back his ‘Goldust’ Character

Over his long career in the Wrestling industry, Dustin has played several gimmicks for different organizations. During his stint with WWE and WCW, Dustin rose to popularity with his variety in the gimmicks he used to portray. Seven, The Natural Dustin Rhodes, “American Nightmare” Dustin Rhodes, and Black Reign were some gimmicks portrayed in his 30-plus years of wrestling. But his most popular gimmick was his ‘Goldust’ character.

Goldust has had much evolution along the way, but the best version was in the early 2000s when he won several titles in the WWE, including Tag Team titles with Booker T. Now that Rhodes currently works for AEW along with his half brother Cody Rhodes, fans have been eager to know whether the son of legendary Dusty Rhodes would ever pull off Goldust character again. During an interaction session with the fans on Twitter, a fan asked him whether he would bring back the ‘Seven’ Gimmick on screen. Rhodes replied that both Seven and Goldust characters had seen its end.

‘The Natural’ gimmick of Rhodes

Dustin then added that his current gimmick in the AEW is the 2021 version of ‘The Natural’ Dustin Rhodes. He also added that he loves this version of Dustin Rhodes. ‘The Natural’ nickname was first adopted during his arrival in WCW, and the persona has seen its ups and downs over the years. Dustin Rhodes has been in the limelight recently after getting heavy backlash from the wrestling fans for not putting over Nick Comoroto in the Bull rope match on AEW Dynamite.

Dustin has also been very critical about WWE and the COO of WWE Triple H. He fired back at Triple H for his comments about NXT’s Women’s division being the best in the business. He stated that WWE is more about playing the money card, whereas AEW is more about passion for wrestling.
