Deontay Wilder will finally get his hands on Tyson Fury on July 24th. He waited desperately for this encounter. Now, it is just days away from unfolding. Recently, the heavyweight pair was involved in a press conference for this trilogy.

In this much-awaited press conference, Wilder and Fury came face-to-face with each other. At the event, much to everyone’s surprise, they ended up staring at each other for 6 minutes.

This went down as the longest stare-down in boxing history, which eventually attracted the attention of the hardcore and casual boxing fans. Post the press conference, Wilder was involved in a chat with ESNEWS where he talked about this fierce stare-down and more.

He said, “Most definitely. You know, I just mean business. I didn’t come here to pull around.”

“I’m strictly business when it comes to this fight. I’m just solely stuck on that.”

Wilder and Fury locked horns with each other for the first time in 2018. In this contest, everyone expected the Alabama native to smother Fury and finish him in the initial rounds of the fight. But in an absolute shocker, this contest went the distance, ending in a tragic draw.

The second time these two came face-to-face was in February 2020. In this high-voltage rematch, and Wilder was eager to derail Fury’s hype. But the Brit staggered the entire world with his performance and battered ‘The Bronze Bomber’. Ever since then, the latter has asked for a rematch as he’s keen to settle the scores.
