LeBron James, Allen Iverson & Others React to Kevin Durant and Nets’ Comeback Win Over Bucks in Game 5

The Brooklyn Nets entered Game 5 shorthanded against the in-form Milwaukee Bucks. Kyrie Irving wasn’t playing while James Harden was visibly struggling with his own injury. But the rest of the team, led by Kevin Durant played their best, and salvaged the game.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks suffered a big embarrassment as the Nets won after a big second half performance. The Bucks led by 17 at the half, after a good display on both ends. But they imploded in the second half and looked clueless, as the Nets kept piling the points on. Durant had a historic performance as he led them to a fantastic comeback.

During the first half, many KD doubters talked about how he could not carry his own team. But as the game progressed, there would have been many deleted tweets as Durant showed excellent leadership tonight. He led his team in scoring, rebounding, and also in assists.

NBA stars like LeBron James and Paul Pierce among others, took to Twitter to praise the Nets, especially Durant, for this amazing win.

Kevin Durant shows true leadership in Nets’ comeback win

The Nets came into this game with two players from their Big 3. However, Harden was far from being 100% and he couldn’t get his jumpshot going. He went 1-10 from the field, including 0-8 from the three-point line. He was trying his best defensively, and also had crucial contributions with his playmaking.

Joe Harris continued his poor form tonight, going just 2-11 from the field. Since Game 3, he has been struggling to get going offensively, and that has hurt them. However, Jeff Green came up clutch tonight as he stepped up with a fantastic sharpshooting performance. He went 7-8 from three, and was a flamethrower. Blake Griffin also showed out tonight and scored 17 points, while shooting 7-11 from the field.

But none of these performances would have mattered if KD didn’t have an outstanding game. He played every single minute of the game, and proved why he is a future first ballot Hall of Famer. He ended the game with 49 points, 17 rebounds, and also 10 assists and also shot a ridiculous 69% from the field.

The Nets will need Durant to continue his form, as they aim to finish the Bucks off to move on to the Conference Finals.
