You can buy Joe Exotic’s actual outfits from Tiger King as he launches auction from jail
Joe Exotic isn’t letting a jail sentence get in the way of his latest money-making venture, after selling his Tiger King outfits via auction.
The former zoo operator and convicted felon is selling off some of the wardrobe pieces from inside his cell.
The former zoo owner – who was the focus of the captivating Netflix documentary series – is currently serving a 22-year jail sentence for the plot to kill rival Carole Baskin, as well as a string of animal abuse charges.
Despite his sentence, some of the outfits going under the hammer online include his fringed leather ‘cowboy jacket’.
His gun holster is also available, with the ‘non-functioning’ Smith and Wesson revolver included.
A bikini worn by adult performer Rachel Starr when posting for a picture with Exotic and one of the big cats at the park is also for sale.
The clothes are being sold as an NFT in partnership with the cryptocurrency members club More.
The items have attracted plenty of attention online, with the revolver currently going for more than £70,851 ($100,000).
Exotic said in a statement: ‘It’s great to have a voice via blockchain technology and I’m honored to be the first to kickoff More’s celebrity NFTs.’
He added: ‘I hope whoever purchases my favourite belongings is able to give them a well-deserved home. Being able to auction off collectibles makes me feel connected with the outside world, especially without my cats by my side. Whether you love me or hate me for what you think I’ve done, there’s no doubt that everyone wants a piece of the Tiger King!’
It’s not the first business he’s not launched either, after launching his own cannabis line.
The news comes after the 58-year-old revealed he had recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
At present, he is currently due for release in 2037. Joe previously sought clemency from former president Donald Trump, but his appeals were ignored.
Tiger King is available to stream on Netflix.
