Bachelor star Colton Underwood mocked online over bizarre list of products ‘that show off his Pride’
The Bachelor star Colton Underwood has been mocked on social media after sharing a surprising list of products that ‘help to show off’ his Pride.
The reality star came out as gay in a headline-making Good Morning America interview earlier this year, and he revealed his joy about celebrating his first Pride month in a new interview.
However, fans couldn’t help but share their amused reactions over the list of products he chose which reportedly ‘help him feel happy and proud all year long.’
In an article on E! about his favorite ‘Amazon finds’, the former American football player started off by mentioning the Reebok Club C 85 Pride Shoes which feature subtle rainbow detail.
‘I like them not only because they’re white, but because they’ve got a little pop, a little flair, and that’s essentially me,’ Colton explained.
However, the rest of his list included standard items such as an Adidas fanny pack, Bose bluetooth headphones, a Fitbit and a Fujifilm instant camera.
Colton even gushed about wine glasses, a white noise machine, bath salts, and a scented candle.
The former NFL star spoke about his must-haves during a recent Amazon Live session as a part in the website’s first-ever Pride Festival.
He stated: ‘I want to share with you some of my favorite products, some that [directly] have to do with Pride and some that just make me feel good overall, so I guess that still has to do with some sort of Pride.’
I show off my Pride with my Anker earbuds! They’re stylish but also discreet. Just like my sexual orientation during high school! 🏳️🌈

Nothing makes me feel more proud than a set of top-quality noise cancelling headphones from our allies at Bose

Unsurprisingly, social media users had differing thoughts about the list as many took to Twitter to mock the star.
One joked: ‘Nothing makes me feel more proud than a set of top-quality noise cancelling headphones from our allies at Bose’.
Another commented: ‘I show off my Pride with my Anker earbuds! They’re stylish but also discreet. Just like my sexual orientation during high school!’

‘My favorite part of this is the title, which implies these are items he found casually strolling through Amazon on a Saturday when he was out antiquing, as if there were items you can’t find on the world’s largest retail site,’ one Twitter user wrote.
Another added: ‘Fujifilm Instax Wide threw the first brick at Stonewall.’
One Twitter user joked: ‘There’s a lot to unpack here but let’s just throw out the whole suitcase.’
It’s like the fortune cookie game: just add “and Pride” to every sentence 🙄

That’s it, canceling pride this year. Pack in the parody.

‘Sexual orientation as marketing strategy,’ one person comment, to which another replied: ‘On the one hand, I feel like we’ve made it. On the other, no, we overshot.’
One person stated: ‘That’s it, canceling pride this year. Pack in the parody.’
Another claimed: ‘It’s like the fortune cookie game: just add “and Pride” to every sentence [Rolling eyescemoji]’.
The backlash comes after fans spoke out against Colton’s upcoming project with streaming giant, Netflix.
Thousands signed a petition to stop the series which will follow Colton’s journey as a gay man.
