GB News has once again been thrown into disarray, as comedian Adam Pacitti subtly mooned actor-turned-failed mayoral candidate Laurence Fox while on air.
The channel launched on Sunday night and has had its fair share of teething problems so far, including a crashed website, sound issues, and brands lining up to pull their advertising.
People have also been calling in with fake names that sound incredibly rude but Adam has taken it one step further.
Laurence appeared on Dan Wootton’s show last night to answer audience questions.
The comedian had called under the guise of asking a question about people being offended by jokes. He could then be seen shifting slightly to reveal his mirror reflection behind him, which showed off his derriere.
Surprisingly, both Fox and Wootton appeared to be completely oblivious.
‘Hello. I am a great fan of your work and also a great fan of comedy. I am a man that loves to laugh. I am of the belief that either one can joke about everything or nothing at all because somebody will always be offended by a joke,’ Adam said.
‘What are your thoughts on that?’
While Adam briefly showed off his behind, Laurence went on to answer the question earnestly.
When screenshots of the incident were later shared on Twitter, the comedian said it was ‘A solid night’s work’.
This comes after Simon McCoy begged people to stop trolling presenters with fake names.
He delivered an impassioned speech on the show, showing his disappointment.
‘I’m just going to say something because, if you’ve seen the papers, if you’ve seen Twitter, some people think it’s really funny to send in texts and messages on the basis that if we read them out, we’ve been had,’ he said.
‘You’re still doing it, and I’m watching them and it doesn’t help anybody.’
‘We’re just not going to read surnames from now on,’ co-host Alex Phillips interjected.
‘To the person who has just messaged, grow up,’ Simon suggested. ‘We’re a new company, we’re a new broadcaster. There are systems that we’re putting in place that would stop idiots like you getting through.
‘They’re getting through at the moment but please? We’ve got other things to worry about.’
GB News is available to watch on Sky, Virgin, Freeview and online.
