‘Just Straight Violence’- Jorge Masvidal Hypes Up Fans Ahead of Gamebred Fighting Championship’s Inaugural Show
UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal is set to launch the first show of his bare-knuckle promotion, Gamebred Fighting Championship. The first event takes place in Biloxi, Mississippi, and fans are excited to see some violent showdowns.
The card is headlined by Charles Bennett and bare-knuckle veteran, Jason Knight. Brok Weaver takes on Cliff Wright in the co-main event slot.
Jorge Masvidal took to social media to promote the event that begins at 9 p.m ET with 7 fights on the card. Additionally, ‘Gamebred’ provided an interview to the media members in attendance and faced off the fighters. As always, Jorge Masvidal promised full-blown violence to the fans, and based on the headliners, it’s highly likely that violence will be delivered.

Fans can expect the pay-per-view headliners to make their walk to the middle at around 10:30 P.M. ET. The live stream is available for $19.99 on the BK TV app.
Jorge Masvidal: Making moves
It seemed like a no-brainer when Jorge Masvidal decided to put his hat in the ring and venture out into fight promotion. Additionally, he’s decided to adopt a backyard-style bare-knuckle organization that harkens back to his days in Miami’s 305. Moreover, it’s well known that ‘Gamebred’ had his come-up on Kimbo Slice’s backyard street fighting circuit in the early 2000s.
With Masvidal’s growing popularity, it was a matter of time before he decided to enter new avenues away from cage fighting. He’s 37-years-old and has over 50 professional fights under his belt. With a significant amount of mileage on him, Jorge Masvidal is looking at the next phase of his life.
However, active competition remains his focus and priority as he’s looking to return to the UFC’s octagon in October. He’s coming off a violent KO defeat to Kamaru Usman and will be keen to bounce back to winning ways.
His stock continues to be at an all-time high, however, another loss could jeopardize his movement forward. There are plenty of fights out there for Masvidal and he largely has free rein to decide his next opponent.
