Line of Duty star Martin Compston revealed he’s ‘too emotional’ ahead of Scotland’s match against England in Euro 2020.

It’s a big night in Group D as England host Scotland at Wembley Stadium in their second game of the competition.

The emotion of the tie is clearly already too much for the Scottish actor, who has got his sights set on the next match – after Croatia drew with Czech Republic.

Taking to Twitter, Martin revealed he was having difficulty trying to figure out the maths of what that result means for his beloved national team.

‘Having an absolute nightmare with group maths too emotional,’ he posted.

‘Bottom line we’ve something to play for in the last game regardless!’

Bring it on.

Martin isn’t the only famous face who is massively invested in the result, as Mark Wright has already planned to strip at full-time if the result goes England’s way.

The Towie star, who is currently co-hosting Sky Sports News’ Euro 2020 coverage, announced he will be at the ground for the game – and will be getting his kit off if England win.

Mark told the Sun: ‘I’m going to the game at Wembley… I watched the 1996 fixture at Wembley when Gazza scored that goal in the Euros. It was a moment I’ll never forget.

‘If Phil Foden or Jack Grealish can be our modern-day Gazza tonight and I’m there to witness it, it will be a dream come true. I might streak on the pitch.’

However, Mark admitted to tension between the Keegan and Wright households as wife Michelle’s father is Scottish and ‘and he wants Scotland to win massively’, so from the game’s kick off they’ll ‘be taunting each other big time’.

‘If England win he will be getting ribbed, and if we lose, his number will be getting blocked for at least a month,’ he added. ‘I will never live it down. I will love-hate him for that period of time.’
