NBA Insider Gives Vital Update on Kawhi Leonard’s Injury Ahead of LA Clippers vs Utah Jazz Game 6

After slipping 2-0 in their playoff series against the Utah Jazz, the LA Clippers rallied a massive comeback in the playoffs as they leveled the series. Superstars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George were certainly key for the same.

Performing at both ends of the court, ‘the Klaw’ and PG13 were key figures in game 3 and game 4. But the game 4 victory came at a huge cost and Leonard suffered from a knee injury.

While the Clippers did win game 5 without Kawhi 119-111, the 2-time Defensive Player of the Year certainly is key to the system the Clippers have. Will the Klaw be back for the Clippers in game 6?

NBA insider reveals LA Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard to miss game 6 against Utah Jazz

Given that Kawhi Leonard suffered from a knee injury, the Clippers will certainly hope that the injury is not that severe. After the 29-year-old missed game 5, NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski gave a major update on whether the 2-time Finals MVP will feature in game 6.

In a recent appearance on Get Up, Woj revealed that Leonard will indeed miss game 6. He said, “There’s no chance he plays in game six, or if there’s a game seven in this series. There’s not a lot of optimism that, you know, Kawhi Leonard is going to be in a place where he could play again, even if the Clippers advance.”

Wojnarowski added that the Clippers were being extra extra careful with Leonard’s injury and said, “They’re going to know more about the status of that knee, the severity of that knee injury, perhaps in the next 24-48 hours. They are hopeful that this is not a severe injury, that not only would impact him for the rest of this season, but perhaps next season.”

Yesterday, even Shams Charania had said that the Clippers organisation feared that Kawhi had indeed suffered from an ACL injury. Although there is no confirmation, this injury could have major implications.

The LA Clippers will hope that ‘the Klaw’ hasn’t suffered from a severe injury to his ACL. Given the injury history of Leonard, LAC will be extremely careful in handling the former DPOY’s latest mishap. Will Leonard be back in the playoffs or will he become the latest player to join the ever-increasing playoff injury list?
