WWE Global Ambassador Titus O’Neil Announced a Finalist for Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award 2021

WWE is an active member in the entertainment field. However, the company is an extremely active member in the philanthropy field. Titus O’Neil, WWE’s Global Ambassador, as a finalist for the 2021 Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Awar is evidence of WWE’s contribution in this field.

With a tweet, WWE announced that ESPN and ESPN Citizenship has nominated their global ambassador as a finalist by ESPN and ESPN Citizenship. The other finalists are Baseball’s Anthony Rizzo, Football’s Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, and Basketball’s Layshia Clarendon. All of them have significantly contributed as humanitarians and have been present at various charity events.

WWE Universe knows Titus O’Neil for giving back to the community

Previously, Titus O’Neil was a finalist for the same award in 2020. Apart from that, the Warrior Award has been bestowed upon him too. Furthermore, WWE is planning to induct him to the WWE Hall of Fame soon.

The fact that he deserves this nomination is because there are several stories of Titus O’Neil working round the clock to help families and individuals in need. It’s believed he realized the importance of helping others after he suffered through poverty and bullying during his childhood days.

Even though O’Neil is not performing inside the ring anymore, he still remains an integral part of the company. He moved away from in-ring matches quietly. However, he will come back to dominate the squared circle if the company needs him to.

The last time the WWE Universe saw Titus O’Neil on-screen or in the arena was during WrestleMania 37. Hulk Hogan and he were the hosts of The Show of Shows.

Stephanie McMahon explained WWE’s charity efforts

In a video, Stephanie McMahon explained the efforts that go on behind the screen to ensure the community is constantly growing. She explained that the company and the people working with WWE work hard to give back to the community and the fans.

Of course, most of the focus is on the Tampa Bay Area since that’s the home. However, the Superstars are constantly working with Make-A-Wish organizations to meet children at hospitals. There are several meets to cheer them up and fulfill wishes.

In fact, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley explained why he did not have most of his memorabilia from his wrestling days. He revealed some children requested to be buried with those items presented to them.

The company and its people have consistently shown efforts to give back to the community.
