Speaking about the journey she has been on, she told Glamour: “I am learning that I can be absolutely fine without anybody, just me by myself.

“I’m learning to be happy just with me. I’m learning to turn to myself for advice. It’s all in the process.”

The former Girls Aloud singer added that her “biggest achievement in the whole of her life” was being mum to Bear, who is now four.

Discussing coming off line, she said:  “The best thing that I’ve learned in the past year is having a break from social media is really, really healthy for your mind.”

Cheryl dated Liam from 2016 until 2018 following her marriage to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

The star was also married to footballer Ashley Cole from 2006 until 2010.

Her comments come amid reports she has been the “voice of reason” for ex Liam during his split from fiancee Maya Henry.

The star is said to have been vocal in guiding her former flame through his relationship woes because his choices “directly impact” their son.

Cheryl reportedly spoke frankly to 27-year-old Liam about his romance after noticing that something wasn’t right.

A source explained: “Things had been going wrong with Maya for a while, and the engagement had just made things worse.

“As soon as they started planning the wedding, it went sour, as Liam was feeling the pressure to change a lot of things in his life.”

The insider went on to heat magazine: “It was Cheryl, who was telling him that if he wasn’t happy, then he needed to ‘grow a set’ and speak out.

“She saw it as her responsibility to be the voice of reason, as Liam’s choices have a direct impact on Bear.”
