Expert reveals the five surprising questions you should ask at the end of a job interview

GETTING through the job interview can be tricky enough, but what do you do at the end when they ask if you have any questions?

The answer is always ‘yes’, according to experts. 

Caitlin, a career coach, shares hundreds of videos to her TikTok giving job advice

And Caitlin, a Career Coach, has shared the five questions you should ask to help show that you have a genuine interest in the job and company. 

In a video she shared with her 136.5k TikTok followers, Caitlin says: “So you’re at the end of your job interview and that’s when they ask you, ‘do  you have any questions for us?’ 

“Yes! You do, you have questions for them – because it shows you have a genuine interest in the job and company!

“First one, ‘what would you hope I would accomplish in the first 90 days in this position?’ It shows you are goal oriented, team player, results driven.

Caitlin gives an example of five great questions to help at the end of the interview
This questions will show you are goal oriented and a team player
This question will show you are collaborative and team oriented

“Number two is, ‘what challenges is your department or company currently facing that this role will assist with?’ it shows you are unafraid of challenges. 

“Three, ‘what are some qualities that describe the most successful employees in your work group?’ It shows desire to be successful, you learn about what qualities are valued. 

“Four, ‘what positions are people what I have the opportunity to collaborate with in this position?’ 

“And this last question is something that a candidate asked in a job interview that was very fun and memorable. 

What questions can I ask at a job interview?

  • What would you hope I would accomplish in the first 90 days in this position?
  • What challenges is your department or company currently facing that this role will assist with?
  • What are some qualities that describe the most successful employees in your work group?
  • What positions are people what I have the opportunity to collaborate with in this position?
  • If you had unlimited funds, what would you change or improve in your work group or the company?

“The question is: ‘If you had unlimited funds, what would you change or improve in your work group or the company?’”
