‘Kawhi Mann’: NBA Community Goes Ballistic As LA Clippers Reach Conference Finals For the First Time

The LA Clippers faced off against the Utah Jazz in game 6 of their second round series of the playoffs. With superstars like Paul George and Donovan Mitchell on display, this matchup between the Clippers and the Jazz was a must-watch.

Despite losing their superstar Kawhi Leonard in game 4, the Clippers put on a show in game 5 and took a 3-2 lead in their series. Given that they had the home court advantage, they had the perfect opportunity to close out this series in the Staples Center.

Utah meanwhile had their backs against the wall, this game was a must-win for the Jazz if they wanted to stay alive in the playoffs. Given how high the stakes were, both the teams were in it to prove it tonight.

LA Clippers comeback to close out the series against the Utah Jazz

This game between the Clippers and the Jazz was a roller coaster ride. From the start of the game, both the teams looked well matched as they traded buckets for a 33-31 scoreline to end the first quarter.

But the Jazz came out all guns blazing in the second quarter as Sixth Man of the Year Jordan Clarkson scored 21 points. With Clarkson’s incredible display, the Jazz took a massive 72-50 lead at the end of the first half.

Just as the Clippers were looking in trouble, Paul George and Co. made a comeback. While it was the Clarkson show for the Jazz in the second quarter, it was the Terrence Mann show for the Clippers in the third quarter, as the 24-year-old scored 20 points in the quarter.

With players like Reggie Jackson and Nicolas Batum chipping in alongside Mann and George, the Clippers made it a three point game at the end of the third. The Clippers carried on their incredible momentum in the fourth quarter as well.

Scoring a whooping 40 points in the final quarter of the game, the Clippers were unstoppable. Despite the heroics of Donovan Mitchell, the Jazz looked hapless on both ends of the floor. Ultimately, the Clippers beat the Jazz 131-119 to make their first appearance in the Western Conference Finals.

NBA twitter went absolutely ballistic as the Clippers who were without Kawhi Leonard beat the first-seed Utah Jazz to make it to the Conference Finals. From players to fans everyone was amazed by the 39-point performance by Terrance Mann and the incredible comeback the Clippers had.

This was certainly a statement win by the LA Clippers. Despite missing their best player in Kawhi Leonard, the Ty Lue led team defeated a formidable Jazz to qualify for the Conference Finals.
