Love Island’s new beauty queen Sharon Gaffka ‘won’t have sex on TV’ but will ‘champion women’s rights’
It’s being reported that Sharon Gaffka, a beauty queen allegedly joining the Love Island villa, won’t be having sex during her time on the dating show.
Sharon is a multilingual lawyer who won Miss International UK in 2018 and represented Britain in an international tournament.
She most recently worked in the Civil Service for the Department of Transport, where she assisted with the rollout of the Test and Trace system.
While it hasn’t been confirmed by ITV whether she’ll be joining the show, according to The Sun friends say there is ‘zero chance’ she will have sex while on the ITV2 programme.
A source told the publication: ‘Sharon is intensely political and a big campaigner around equality and women’s rights.
‘She’s always talked of wanting to work in politics so is likely to use her platform on the show to talk about issues which she feels passionately about.
‘She is going to take everyone by surprise.’
The source also said that their friend is a ‘real crusader’ as there is a lot that she wants to achieve.
Sharon has previously used her Instagram account to advocate for women’s rights and other political causes.
The 25-year-old is a Young Women’s Trust ambassador, which is a feminist organisation dedicated to achieving economic justice for young women.
Working as an influencer for a tampon brand that aims to combat period poverty, the model is also an advocate for equal rights for women’s menstrual hygiene.
Her impressive skills and talents don’t end there, as Sharon also speaks Indonesian and French and has a law degree from the University of London.
This comes after the other alleged contestant was named as model and ‘ladies man’ Aaron Francis.
A Love Island source told The Daily Mail: ‘Aaron has no real claim to fame, he’s just a normal guy. However, his job does mean he sometimes moves in glamorous circles and he gets lots of attention.
It’s been a long time coming, but after a long delay the programme will be back on ITV2 after being cancelled due to the pandemic in 2020.
The reality TV stars in the making are allegedly out in the Mediterranean, quarantining for two weeks so they are safely ready to mingle, according to reports.
Love Island is set to start on June 28 on ITV2.
