Peter Andre tears up as he gifts son Junior a moped for his 16th birthday
Peter Andre got all emotional as he presented his son Junior with his dream present of a red scooter on his 16th birthday.
Sharing footage of the moment Junior was surprised with the moped on the family’s YouTube channel, Peter’s teenage son looked stunned as he opened the front door to see the gift parked in the drive, waiting for him.
As his dad held silver balloons and his step-mum Emily looked on, Junior exclaimed: ‘No way, you actually got me one!’
Taking in his father, who had already started to get a bit emotional as he stood by the shiny two-wheeler, Junior continued: ‘Look at his face, oh my gosh. Dad, thank you so much, I love you – thank you.’
As he held 48-year-old Peter in a long, thank-you bear hug Junior commented: ‘He’s getting emotional guys.’
The rest of the family laughed lovingly at the singer’s reaction, with Emily, 31, agreeing: ‘I can hear the breathing.’

His sister Princess, 13, also commented on his ‘flaring nostrils’ as Pete remained quiet and just enjoyed the moment.
He later clarified: ‘I got emotional because I’m a big softie.’
Junior is his eldest child and brother to Princess, both of whom Peter had with first wife Katie Price.
Katie is currently in Turkey with her fiancé Carl Woods, following Junior’s birthday, and has hit back at claims she’s going under the knife there ahead of embarking on an IVF journey to have kids with Carl.
He also has two kids with Emily; Amelia, seven, and Theo, four, the faces of whom the couple blur to keep some privacy for the younger ones.
The Mysterious Girl chart-topper also took the camera to one side to issue a direct message to his dad at home in Australia, who is against motorbikes, and anyone else that might be ‘concerned’, explaining the scooter’s top speed was 30mph and that Junior would only use it on local roads and trips.
Of his dad, Peter revealed they’d witnessed something traumatic when he was 12, which had inspired his father’s negative attitude.
‘I’ve never ridden a bike because my dad asked me not to,’ Pete admitted.
He and Emily also revealed Junior would be using the scooter responsibly, with his step-mum having booked him in for his test on July 3.
As he sat on the seat for the first time, Junior was also ready to be careful, stating: ‘I need to practice my theory, don’t I?’, after he mistook the term wingmirror for ‘wind mirror’.
Last week the father and son spoke to OK! Magazine about Pete’s strict parenting, where the Aussie revealed Junior had asked for a moped for his birthday but it ‘scared him’ to say yes because he’s never ridden one.
After listening to his son’s reassurances on safety, he admitted: ‘So maybe I’m overthinking it’, and it would seem the careful dad did have a change of heart.
