UFC Fight Night: Chan Sung Jung vs Dan Ige Weigh-In Results
UFC Fight Night: Jung vs Ige is set to go down this weekend at the UFC Apex. Both main event fighters, Chan Sung Jung and Dan Ige, hit the featherweight limit successfully ahead of the clash. Both ’50k’ and ‘The Korean Zombie’ hit the scales at 146 lbs. However, it wasn’t all smooth for Ige, as he needed the box to strip down for making the needed weight.
Heavyweights Alexai Oleinik and Sergey Spivak will take the co-main event spot of the card. Oleinik weighed in on 228 lbs, 14 lbs lighter than his 26-year-old opponent. The likes of Matt Brown, Dhiego Lima, Marlon Vera, Khaos Willimas, and more all made the necessary weight limits for their respective weight classes.
The fight against Ige will be Jung‘s eighth straight appearance at a UFC main event. Since his win against Dustin Poirier in 2012, Zombie has been the headliner in each of his fights. He was touted as one of the top prospects of the UFC’s featherweight division during the early days of his career. However, a 2-year military service halted his progress for a bit.
He will look to rejuvenate his career at the division with a win over Ige this weekend. Technically, both fighters are crafty strikers. So one can expect a spectacular battle on show when the Octagon door closes.
