WATCH: Yuki Tsunoda Wiggles His Way into an F1 Crash at French GP Bringing Out Red Flag

The high-intense qualifying session is here at the French Grand Prix. However, it has already seen the red flag as Yuki Tsunoda crashed his Alpha Tauri on Turn 1 of the circuit.

The young Japanese driver was zipping around the track, trying to put in and get himself into the second round of qualifying. But Tsunoda hit the kerb while entering into Turn 1 and lost control. His car took 180 and went straight into the barrier.

The AlphaTauri sustained some damage, but it also hurt his teammate, Pierre Gasly who was trying to set in a lap at Paul Ricard. But the red flag saw him enter the pitlane.

Can Tsunoda recover his weekend on Sunday?

The Japanese rookie did have a tough time in France this weekend, as he didn’t have the pace during the practice sessions on Friday as well as the final on Saturday.

In FP1, Tsunoda managed to be tenth on the timesheet, while in FP2 he fell down to thirteenth, and the last day, he came a disappointing seventeenth. Now with a jeopardized quali session, Yuki will certainly look to Sunday’s race to redeem himself.

With the way things look, the rookie driver will be starting from dead-last on the grid. Can Yuki make up for the places on the main day? Well, we will just have to wait and find out.
