Alex Bowman, Hendrick Motorsports and Ally to Link up for Another Two Years

Recently, the Hendrick Motorsports team announced that Alex Bowman and Ally Financial would team up once again. Ahead of the Ally 400 at the Nashville Superspeedway, Bowman and Ally posted a video announcing the news. As it turn out, the #48 driver will remain with the brand until 2023.

Bowman said, “Super thankful for the opportunity. It’s been a lot of fun working with you guys. Really proud to continue to drive the Ally #48 car”. The driver made an appearance in front of several Ally personnel to make the announcement. At the same time, this also means that Bowman will stick around with Hendrick Motorsports.

Alex Bowman will be eager to deliver for the team

When Bowman moved into the #48 Chevrolet, he had big shoes to fill. This was because he was taking over the seat that seven-time champion Jimmie Johnson vacated after retiring. It is also worth mentioning that this is his fifth season with Hendrick Motorsports, having joined in 2016.

The 28-year-old took over the #88 ride when Dale Earnhardt Jr decided to hang up his boots after the 2017 season. He definitely did Earnhardt Jr proud when he nabbed the 2018 Daytona 500 pole. A year later, Bowman took his first Hendrick Motorsports win at Chicagoland Speedway. Since then, he has reached Victory Lane on three occasions. The first one was at the Auto Club Speedway in 2020 and later at the Richmond Raceway and Dover International Speedway in 2021.

Now, Bowman is looking forward to this weekend’s race at the Nashville Superspeedway. So far, he and the other Hendrick Motorsports drivers have been running riot. However, the one to watch out for is Kyle Larson, who has been in excellent form with three consecutive wins. Aside from Larson and Bowman, William Byron and Chase Elliott also have Cup Series wins under their belts in 2021, making it a full set.
