Father’s Day: Gigi Hadid says daughter Khai is ‘so lucky’ to have Zayn Malik as a dad
Gigi Hadid paid tribute to boyfriend Zayn Malik in a sweet Father’s Day message, their first one since welcoming daughter Khai in September.
The model, 26, said Khai is ‘so lucky’ to have the former One Direction star, 28, as a dad in a heartfelt message on Instagram.
‘Our Khai is so lucky to have a baba who loves her so much & does anything to see her smile!!’ she said.
‘@zayn Happy first Father’s Day .. I’m so grateful for all the lil bits of her that are you ☺️ We love you so much.’
The first time mum shared a brand new picture of her small family ,with the Pillow Talk singer holding his little girl up to look at a glow in the dark globe as he gazed down at her.
Khai regularly appears on her parents’ social media feeds, however the couple have decided not to reveal her face and only told the world her name in January 2021 with Gigi writing ‘Khai’s mum’ in her Instagram bio.
Zayn and Gigi first began dating in 2015 and have been on and off a few times before reuniting at the end of 2019.
The X Factor star is the third member of One Direction to become a father. Louis Tomlinson has son Freddie and Liam Payne is dad to son Bear.
Zayn admitted to being surprised at how easily he’s adjusted to fatherhood, saying: ‘I didn’t expect to be so into it. Before she was born, I was always into myself.
‘I had time for my relationship but it was still solely about me. The fact that Khai has been so easy to adjust to has been surprising to me because I just love spending my days with her, hanging out with her, just doing really relaxing chill stuff.’
The singer moved to the US after quitting One Direction in 2015 and embarking on his solo career, and now resides in NYC with Gigi and their daughter.
Other famous faces to mark Father’s Day this year on social media include Holly Willoughby, David Beckham, Rochelle Humes and Neil Patrick Harris.
