Julian Edelman Takes a Hilarious Dig at Tom Brady Following Madden 22 Cover Release

The bromance between Tom Brady and Julian Edelman was on full display during their time together at New England. The wide receiver and the quarterback have won three Super Bowls together and proved to be one of the most dynamic duos in the NFL over the past decade.

While Edelman recently retired, Brady, 43, continues to play on and dominate the league featuring for his new franchise, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

But even though Edelman’s stint on the field is over, the banter between the two athletes isn’t stopping anytime soon.

Tom Brady and his humble beginning with Madden

Tom Brady was a little known figure when he entered the league as the 199th overall pick back in the year 2000. But since then the quarterback has gone on to become arguably the biggest superstar in the league.

Winning seven Super Bowls, Brady has become a household figure in the NFL. And with the fame have come multiple endorsements  and sponsorships.

Brady mindboggling success has also seen him grace the cover of the sport’s premier video game franchise called ‘Madden’. And he’s managed to be on the cover not once, but twice. The latest of which will see him on the cover of Madden 22.

But Brady of course was not always a cover star. Infact, back in Madden 2000, the game didn’t even assign his playable character a name. Simply referred to as QB No.12, Brady was nameless and faceless.

And Julian Edelman couldn’t help but roast the modern day legend for it.

Featuring alongside Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Brady is the first ever Tampa Bay Buccaneers player to appear on the cover of a Madden instalment.

And given his recent heroics, one shouldn’t be surprised to see Brady with a few more Super Bowl rings and Madden covers as well before he finally hangs up his boots.
