WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury is one of the most recognizable names in the sport. The undefeated champion has reached the summit of the sport twice. And despite all the success, ‘The Gypsy King’ has revealed the harsh reality of being a boxer.

Fury is gearing up for another high-octane fight against Deontay Wilder. The pair will meet as the main event of an all-heavyweight card on July 24. And although the champion will make another fortune with this fight, he has revealed what he really enjoys about the sport.

The 30-0-1 boxer spoke to ESPN on YouTube and said, “It’s a short career. [I’ll be] 33 in a minute. How long’s a piece of string? And after this is all finished and done, as fighters, we’re just objects to be used and abused. And when it’s all over, it’s over. So I enjoy it today. I enjoy being active, that’s it.”

Thus, this comment from ‘The Gypsy King’ showed that he wants to do as much as he can while his body allows. Moreover, he revealed that no one gives boxers any attention to boxers once they no longer compete in the sport.
