Love Island 2021 cast live: Meet this year’s singletons
The Love Island 2021 cast is being announced today, a week ahead of the launch of the new series.
It’s the first series of the hit ITV2 show since it was last on-air in early 2020, with a new bunch of singletons entering the villa in a bid to find romance – and cause a bit of drama along the way.
Follow the latest updates as they come in:
The first islander has been revealed, and it’s Sharon Gaffka.
The 25-year-old soon-to-be reality star is from Oxford and has conquered beauty pageants, worked on government policies and is now ready to find love.
‘It’s been a bit of a running joke between my friendship group for a while that I should apply, probably because I’m the most outrageous one out of the group,’ she revealed.
‘But also because of Covid and the lockdown, I’m the only single one in my friendship group. They’re either married or planning on getting married. I don’t want to be the only one in the group chat that is single anymore.’
Spilling the beans on what she looks for in a man, Sharon explained: ‘I tend to date someone who is taller than me, even though my last long-term partner, he was actually someone who was shorter than me.’
