El Chapo’s cartel torture and kill rivals before hanging naked bodies from bridge in brutal turf war

EL Chapo’s cartel tortured, killed then mutilated rival gang members and hung their bodies from a bridge, foreign media reports.

Three half-naked bodies with bags over their heads were left dangling near the city of Fresnillo, Mexico on June 19.

Mexican authorities claim El Chapo’s Sinaloa Cartel were behind the killings after video footage showed them interrogating rival members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (JNGC) days earlier.

One man was found tied by his feet while the other two were hung by the neck. At least one of them was a minor, reports infobae.

Police say a message was left on each body, but stopped short of disclosing what they said.

The brutal killing form part of a wider bloody campaign by the Sinoloa Cartel to seize control of prime drug trafficking routes in the western state of Nayarit.

Back in December, seven bodies were found hanging from a sign welcoming people into the Zacatecas region.

They were left with a note reading: “This is going to happen to everyone who is kidnapping, extorting and collecting fees.”

The violent gangland war kicked off in October last year when the new head of El Chapo’s gang, Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, threatened unrest until territory belonged in the cartel’s hands.

The drug lord declared that “heads will roll” and even threatened local government officials.

El Mayo took charge of the cartel since El Chapo was extradited and imprisoned last year.

A vicious drug war between El Chapo’s sons and the JNGC has seen nearly 250 people slaughtered in a month in Mexico.

The region of Baja California saw 2,938 violent deaths last year amid a brutal gang war.

According to Mexican newspaper Zeta Tijuana, a shocking 246 homicides were recorded in Baja California in the first 28 days of January this year.

A large percentage of these are believed to be linked to ‘Los Chapitos’ Guzman – the children of drug lord El ‘Chapo’ Guzman, who is currently imprisoned in the US.

Infobae reports that the kingpin’s sons Jesus Alfredo, Ivan Archivaldo and Ovidio Guzman are now involved in a brutal turf war against JNGC.

The JNGC, ruled by Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera Cervantes, has now consolidated power in at least 35 states across Mexico and Puerto Rico.

The group are renowned for their brutality – ripping out victims’ hearts, dissolving their bodies in barrels of acid, and even targeting pregnant women.
