Kyle Larson Praises ‘Awesome’ Race Car After Notching a Hat-Trick of Wins
Kyle Larson firmly established himself as a title threat when he took a third consecutive Cup Series win. In the process, he had the honor of being the first Nashville Superspeedway Cup Series winner. Although he has not taken over the championship lead just yet, he is inching closer and closer to Denny Hamlin.
Speaking after the race, he said, “Another awesome race car. Just cool to get another win and lead a bunch of laps. I think we did a great job again, the restarts worked themselves out and I always get clear off Turn 2. Just a nicely executed day then, we’ve been doing a lot of that lately. It’s been good on all ends of our #5 team.”

The Hendrick Motorsports driver even spoke of the likes of Ricky Stenhouse Jr and Ross Chastain. Those two drivers were able to make him sweat for a while, with Chastain even pulling off a comeback. In light of that, Larson admitted that his team is adept at green flag stops. So he wished that he had more of those kind of pit stops.
Larson acknowledged that Stenhouse Jr was fairly quick and he lucked out when the caution came while he pitted. However, he insisted that without the pit crew and the rest of the team, Ricky Stenhouse would have caught him. To be precise, the gap between them would have been similar, except that their positions would be reversed.
Kyle Larson also admitted that Chastain’s #42 was really quick and had fresher tyres. Nevertheless, the Hendrick Motorsports team did a stellar job of keeping him out in front and maintain track position. This meant that he was well on course to take a fourth consecutive Cup Series win in the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season.
