Nick Kyrgios Emotional To Leave Australia for First Time in 15 Months for Wimbledon Championships 2021

Australian tennis sensation Nick Kyrgios is ready to resume his season. The Canberra-born player will be seen on Tour after a long period since his exit at the Australian Open earlier this year. It comes as a positive development as fans have been waiting to get a glimpse of him. 

Recently, Nick Kyrgios went onto social media and stated that he is ready to leave Australia, indicating that he is set to land in London. Since the Wimbledon Championships 2021 is around the corner, players are expected to land in the capital of England.

Nick Kyrgios became known to the world at Wimbledon Championships 2014

Kyrgios likes playing on grass and was first known to the world after his heroics when he competed at Wimbledon for the first time. During that season, he beat Rafael Nadal. After that win, the Australian player was well recognized. 

Most of the players enjoy playing on the grass courts as it is the traditional tennis surface on which it was first played. Since the grass season is not too long, players like making the most of the little opportunities they have. 

Speaking about Nick’s season so far, he came back on Tour during the events in Australia earlier this season. He played his first Major at the Australian Open 2020 after being on the sidelines for nearly a year. He did entertain the crowd with his performances.

Although he did not go past the third round, the match against Dominic Thiem was one the remember. After that, he has not featured in any event. In recent months, Kyrgios has been troubled by a niggle in the shoulder, which has caused uneasiness in his service motion. 

Finally, keeping all the obstacles aside, the Australian athlete is feeling better and ready to compete in the Wimbledon Championships 2021. Whenever Nick confirms his presence, it garners a lot of attention as fans simply enjoy watching him go about his routine. It will be interesting to see how far he goes during the fortnight of the event.
