Ferrari to make a comeback at Styrian GP?
Scuderia Ferrari had a dreadful weekend at Circuit Paul Ricard as both of their drivers failed to finish in the Top-10.
The Maranello-based team had been exceptional in qualifying this season, notably during the qualifications on the street circuits at Monte Carlo and Baku. Where the Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc secured back-to-back poles.
However, Ferrari cannot replicate its qualifying pace on Sundays. Despite having a solid qualifying session at French GP, Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc dramatically dropped down the order as the team failed to score no points for the first time in 2021. The Ferrari duo could only finish P11 and P16 due to tire degradation.
As a result, Ferrari stumbled down to P4 in the Constructors’ Championship standings after McLaren displayed a solid performance at La Castellet. McLaren sits at P3, 16 points ahead of Ferrari.
