This Morning viewers were in floods of tears as mum Heather opened up about her terminal diagnosis, after being told she had three months to live.

Heather appeared on the show for the ‘Dosh On Your Doorstep’ segment, where Alison Hammond was on hand to help her win a cash prize.

Explaining what she would do with the money, she explained she would be putting it towards a huge party before her death.

‘I got diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019,” Heather told presenter Alison Hammond,’ she began.

‘I then got the all-clear just before my 40th birthday, thought things were getting back to normal but then I got told I had brain mets.

‘So now I’m getting myself organised, I’ve been told I have three months to live.

‘Now I am going to have a Wake Me Up Before I Go Go party. It’s a party before my passing. The money will go towards that.’

Brain metastases occur when cancer cells spread to the brain, and may form a tumour on the brain.

Asked how she keeps positive despite her looming death, Heather insisted: ‘There’s no point moping because it is what it is.

‘If I mope, it’s not going to help my family, it’s not going to help my husband or my children.

‘[I’ve gone into] auto-mode at the moment.’

Heather was able to take home an incredible £1,000 after she answered a string of questions correctly – and was later given passes to watch an England rugby training session and meet the players as part of her prize.

‘It’s amazing, absolutely amazing,’ she said of news, struggling to regain her composure.

It wasn’t over as Phillip then offered another £1,000 to the party, ahead of her upcoming birthday, and played a personalised message from Craig David singing Happy Birthday, while also offering his love to the superfan.

‘I just wanted to send you all my love and all my positive energy,’ he said in a pre-recorded clip. ‘I hear it’s a very special day for you tomorrow.’

Heather broke down in tears over the heartfelt message, and couldn’t believe the scenes.

Fans watching on from home also couldn’t get over the heartfelt moment, and flocked to Twitter in floods of tears.

‘Well that’s set me off. I hope Heather has the most wonderful party. #ThisMorning,’ a viewer penned.

‘How amazing is Heather! #thismorning I hope she has the best party!,’ a Twitter user agreed.

‘What an inspirational breath of fresh air Heather is. Her story is so sad yet so inspiring as well #ThisMorning,’ a follower said.

As one added: #ThisMorning well that’s me in tears what a beautiful soul. Sending lots of love to Heather.’

This Morning continues on weekdays, at 10am, on ITV.
