Trick Daddy claims Beyonce ‘can’t sing’ and the BeyHive reacts accordingly

Trick Daddy is feeling the hot wrath of Beyonce fans after reportedly saying the musician ‘can’t sing’. 

The 46-year-old rapper took part in a Clubhouse conversation on Sunday night where the conversation turned to Beyonce and Jay Z’s musical talents. 

In audio leaked from the Clubhouse room, Trick Daddy reportedly said: ‘Beyoncé f**k with her because she see money. Beyoncé ain’t trying to give back to music or nothing,’ although it’s not clear which other person he was referring to. 

He then went even further and claimed matter-of-factly: ‘Beyonce don’t write music and barely can sing her motherf****n’ self. Beyonce can’t sang. 

‘Man, I watched my godmama train Beyoncé, vocal lessons all her career.’

Beyonce, 39, is listed as a songwriter on many of her solo albums and Destiny’s Child’s back catalogue. Over the years, some have accused her of wrongfully claiming songwriting credits; however, there’s been no evidence to support this. 

He then took aim at Beyonce’s husband Jay Z and said: ‘I’mma give an unpopular opinion right now: Beyonce is to R&B what Jay Z is to New York. That’s why they together. Jay Z ain’t never won the greatest rapper alive. Whoever put him on a level like that?’ 

Needless to say, Beyonce’s fans weren’t too pleased with the attack on her musical gifts and defended her accordingly. 

‘People say Beyoncé can’t sing for attention that’s it, and a quick google search will tell you about her pen so I’m not even gonna get into my stan bag on lil miss trick daddy,’ one hit back. 

Defending their queen, another said: ‘Beyoncé literally wrote survivor and that song is bigger than Trick Daddy’s entire catalogue , but she doesn’t write? Y’all gon stop mentioning Beyoncé’s name for likes and shares.’ 

‘Why are we even giving this energy…. We know Bey’s artistry. Trick Daddy’s opinion ain’t changing a thing. She’s done the work & proved herself,’ another argued. 

Many others have been sharing video clips of Beyonce singing acapella to prove that, yes, she does have powerhouse vocals. 

US rapper Trina is closely associated with Trick Daddy but appeared to distance herself from his comments, sharing a video compilation of Beyonce and Jay Z performing with the caption: ‘ALL day, Everyday… The Queen.’
